Hi! I am Luba Voloshko. I teach chemistry courses at Ohlone College in Fremont, California.
I was born and raised in the Soviet Union. My love for chemistry formed early, and when I was 17, I was accepted to Dmitry Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology in Moscow, where I studied materials for quantum electronics and obtained a Master Degree in Chemical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry. In 1997, my family immigrated to the United States. I started my first job with Allergy Research Group, a dietary supplement company, as a chemist, and worked there for 10 years. In 2010 I found my dream job at Ohlone College.
Besides teaching, I love reading, playing piano and spending time with my family, especially with my two granddaughters. And practicing yoga too!
